Hooked on books

This week we had an event that happens every year called hooked on books and we have read 5 books including Liars, Goldfish boy, Storybound , you will laugh your head off  And Cool nukes that we are currently reading at the moment which its pretty cool but Liars has definitlly been my Favourite book and I really want to finish the book off.

I kind of enjoyed discovering new books like that liars book and I also did enjoy reading some of goldfish boy like discovering the price of a day off school that sixty dollars in the uk which is so expensive for something like missing a day of school like you need to be able to get a holiday.

And Liars jarli and his father get smashed into by an old man with black glasses and starts to chase jarli knowing you really dont no what that old man want like either Jarli or his father and also leading jarli into getting shot in the head.

As well as storybound as this girl una is just casually reading a book then gets written into it and cannot get out of it and meats The characters to the book Lady snow , The brave knight peter and the fearsom Dragon.

I really enjoyed Hooked on books  Espcally Liars.

Atitude

This afternoon we had a visitor come in called Tama Tia who worked for a thing called Atitude. He was really funny with the stuff that he was saying and he was talking about what your personality was like if it was the Otter , Lion, Golden retriever and beaver but when he said golden retriever I knew that was at least 50% of me and and the other was an otter for sure.

Then he started talking about the choices we make and our genes which was funny because he started talking about a story about two brothers that went to a youth prison and one of the brothers sat at the front and the other sat at the back and then he said the brother that was at the back had a bad life going to a actual prison and the other brother lived a good life and it was kind of sad that the other brother thought that he couldn't  do anything to stop what he was going through.

 then he went and it was the end which yeah he was really funny and he had a good personality and that was our visit

Athletics Zones

Last monday we had a zones that was on in selwyn  when I first got there I was feeling a bit nervous because most of the people there I didn't  know until I saw somebody racing into me and it was my old friend (still my friend) Richie from the burnham tent and I was feeling more nervous because he was doing the exact same events as me.

at last at 9:45 it was time to get ready for long jump and there was this Anoying boy could Eli that was in front of me and he was really being to smart for his own good so I pushed in front of him and he started to get all stupid and kick so I got back behind him and when it was his turn he went to the back of the line so I went and he said to me can you please stop pushing in front of me and I was like what the heck you were the one was going in the back so like what do you mean. But after that I manage to get 3rd for long jump and we soonly went onto relays.

after  we left long jump me louis, sam and corbin got ready for relays and on the count of 3 sam was of placing 3rd for the moment got passed to corbin than got passed to louis but sadly louis acedently dropped the pole and we got into last that louis eventually passed it to me I almost catched up to 3rd but sadly louis falling over took us to fourth. after relay it was time to go home but I didn't have to go on the bus which was lucky I really enjoyed and I did really well.

My novel study

For most of the term, we have been working on something called a novel study, which is basically where you just read a chapter book and once you have finished the book there is a 44 page slide and you have to do everything on that. It's actually quite fun (the work and the games and all of that.) I am currently on slide 34, almost slide 35 and I have really, really, really enjoyed this slide so far. It's definitely one of the best slides I have worked on and definitely the best this term. I am also loving the games on there, particularly Maze Chase. They are really fun to play.

My inquiry learning booklet continue.

This week we have been trying to finish our inquiry learning booklet. I found some amazing facts like for my subquestion like what happens when the ozone is affected here's your answer.
 Effects on Human Health. Ozone layer depletion increases the amount of UVB that reaches the Earth's surface. Laboratory and epidemiological studies demonstrate that UVB causes non-melanoma skin cancer and plays a major role in malignant melanoma development. 

Also... how does the ozone interact/help the earth.
In the stratosphere, ozone is created primarily by ultraviolet radiation.  Because ozone and free oxygen atoms are highly unstable, they react very easily with nitrogen, hydrogen chlorine and bromine compounds that are found naturally inEarth's atmosphere released from both land and ocean sources.

All these facts amazed me like what can happen if the ozone wasn't a thing. like we could be stuffed basically. so you should be happy to whoever created the ozone thankful for it (GOD) so thanks for reading my blog I hope you have great rest of the day bye.

My measurement slide

Today we continued on with our measurement slides. Today I managed to get up to slide 18 I am almost finished this maths activity and I can't wait to finish it I have very much enjoyed this slide and I cant finally wait to finish this slide.

do you do maths work like mine, is your math work similar to ours do you think it looks fun tell me in the comments. This slide has about 30 of them so I am almost there and almost finished I enjoy working this slide do you like geometry and measurement I know I do and it is pretty cool considering it is maths like that's quite cool

Oh yeah also I will be finishing this slide next week so make sure you stay for that and that is me signing out I hope you like how hard I have worked See yah!!!

The hardest slide I have come across for the moment is probably slide 17 just because its the longest and it is also has a lot.

My geometry and measurement slide

This week we have been working on a maths slide. This maths contains measurements, weight, geometry, and much more math. I haven't quite finished it yet because we started it yesterday or the day before so that 's why I am only on slide 8 this slide is probably one of the most f un math slides I have done in a while.

This slide is going really good and we are continuing on with it until Friday so I have still got time to finish it. Next Friday and there is like For ty&nbslidesur slide on it so it is going to be a bit of a grind but it is really fun so I don 't really mind if I have to finish it.
