My DLO for Investigation Maths

For maths my maths group have been doing  investigations. I have been doing the kitchen floor investigation. First you had to make a pattern like a chessboard pattern. You could make this by using the shapes.  You had to use 64 squares or in the 60s. I found making the pattern easy but getting 64!!! SQUARES/triangles  ON THE DOT was hard so I did a little bit over like 67/66/65  triangles instead. But all together this was fun. This is what mine looks like.

  1. Thank you for sharing your maths work Aliz'e. I am impressed with the visual aspect of your maths. I must admit to being a little lost when trying to follow your explanation. I am left wondering exactly what it is you were trying to solve. Do you think you could tell me first what the problem is and then how you found a solution. And why this is a helpful maths skill to learn.

i look forward to your next blog post.
